With the pre-season in (more or less) full swing I thought a look at the transfer values of players would not hurt as many teams add and/or release players in the upcoming weeks.
Jude Bellingham is currently the player with the highest value on the transfer market ahead of some other well-known names such as Haaland or Vinicius Junior.

Secondly, I used the top 30 and had a closer look at the clubs involved. Real Madrid sits up top with six players that accumulated an average of 180 mio € followed by four English Premier League clubs, Arsenal, Man City, Man United and Liverpool. The first German team (RB Leipzig) appears after the aforementioned (followed by Leverkusen and Bayern Munich) and the first French one is PSG. The graph below shows the mentioned number of players and the average market values.

The next small section is about the age of the players involved. The “odd/supertalent” 16, 17 and 18 year old shows the youngest three groups with average values of over 90 mio €. With the age group of 19 years the amount of players inside the top 70 picks up and the majority of players with high average market values are between the age of 21-24.

The last paragraph is about the position the included players inherit.

Center forward and attacking midfielders sharing top position followed by wingers and fullbacks. The average market values of the players in these positions are the lowest (only approx. 110 mio €) for the defensive midfielders.
